Thanksgiving Trip to Lake Lure

This Thanksgiving, my family rented a cabin in Lake Lure and spent 3 nights away and it was so so good for us. We simply enjoyed time together – ate too much food, laughed, watched WonderWoman, went to the Lake Lure Inn for Thanksgiving lunch, hiked around the area a bit, and visited the Biltmore. It was the first time experiencing the Biltmore for Clay, Luke, and I and it did not disappoint! My plant lady heart was overflowing and it wasn’t even Spring, so we are already planning to go back so we can see the gardens in peak season!

Biltmore at Christmas, though, was its own kind of magical…just wow. We walked around the outside grounds for over an hour before our house tour and then ended our visit by enjoying the free wine tasting at the Antler Hill Village & Winery (which was just as magical with all of its Christmas lights!) I am so thankful for my family and feel so blessed to have had their endless support and love through all of life’s seasons and especially through these last few months of transition.

Thank you, Jesus for your kindness and grace to me that I do not deserve. I praise You.
