Up Up & Away – It’s Anna Stephens’ 1st Birthday!

February 15, 2022February 15, 2022Leave a comment

We had the best time celebrating our girl turning one! Her party was originally planned for January 22 (3 days after her birthday) ...but Anna Stephens ended up testing positive for COVID on her birthday (not fun!) and Luke and I had it as well, so we had to postpone the party to the next … Continue reading Up Up & Away – It’s Anna Stephens’ 1st Birthday!

January Retreat: Blowing Rock, NC

January 13, 2022January 14, 2022Leave a comment

Luke and I had the best time in Blowing Rock, NC this past weekend. We took time to rest, explore, reflect and celebrate what the Lord has done the past year and thank Him for helping us survive (and for the most part, thrive) during our first year of parenthood! We do our best to … Continue reading January Retreat: Blowing Rock, NC

It truly has been a very sweet year, with every day except 18 of them including Anna Stephens and I think that is much of the reason this year has been so very special. Merry Christmas from the Hamiltons! Sending and receiving Christmas cards is on the top of my favorite Christmas traditions list! We had the most relaxing week in the Dominican Republic! So thankful for our sweet parents who took care of Anna Stephens all week so that we could have this time away 💕 It takes a village and we couldn’t do what we do - vacation or not - without them. Thankful to be back home with our girl and refreshed for what’s ahead! This weekend, Luke and I had the honor of coordinating @katherine__oliver + @luke_gibson12 wedding. It’s been a while since we’ve coordinated a wedding but every time we do, I’m reminded how special it is that we’ve had the chance to be a part of making 20+ wedding days a little easier for some amazing couples and their families. Luke and I make a good team, but it never fails that the family pulls me aside to comment specifically on how helpful and kind Luke is. I’ve done 2 of these weddings without him and it was not the same! It sort of hit us yesterday that these 5 years of business have been wonderful, but we aren’t doing as many weddings because our weekends are full with Anna Stephens and family time and that’s exactly how we want it. I’m not saying we’re done with coordinating weddings, but our season has changed and things look different but my heart overflows with gratitude for those of you have entrusted us with your day, given us a peek into your relationships, encouraged us, referred us and brought joy to our lives in witnessing your love for one another! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 💗 Thankful for weekends like this one ☀️💛 This weekend was a dream come true to witness my best girl, Lindsey, the most radiant bride, marry her perfect match in Trav! Christ was glorified, we had SO much fun, and I’d say the flower girl was pretty dang cute 😉 #totravandtohold This morning, I had the honor of being a part of my daddy’s ordination service. It was truly so special to hear words spoken about and over him that I know without a doubt from my very close view, are true. He is pure hearted, compassionate and His love the Lord is matched in His actions. He is an encourager to his core and has persevered through so much to be the counselor and pastor he is today. My dad humbly leads people to Jesus through his counseling business/ministry because he himself knows the incredible benefit of counseling. It was a joy to see so many people who have loved my dad for years and years support him by traveling to attend today ❤️ I have always been encouraged by both of my parents’ example that it is never too late in your life to follow God into a new calling. My dad was pursuing his masters while I was in high school, became a licensed counselor in his mid 40s and I truly believe the best is yet to come for him and my mama - Lord willing, they’re just getting started☺️! Praising Jesus that we get to experience moments like today this side of Heaven 🙌🏼 He is Risen! 🙌🏼✝️ this is the only even semi decent pic we got of the 3 of us 🤣 but what a joyous day!!! Such a fun time celebrating my girl in Savannah! Less than a month til she’s a Bullard and I can’t wait 🎉❤️ 14 months old today and I’m just soaking her in. The way her chunky thigh feels on my hip. The way she squeals in excitement when she sees us first thing in the morning (and when we hand her a pouch so….😂). The way she laughs and smiles and dances. The way she loves nature, bath time, her books, going to school and waving at everyone on the way to her classroom. Her big blue eyes, perfect cheeks and strawberry blonde hair with little curls in the back. As Ben Rector says, “I guess I understand what all the fuss is about - I have a daughter now” 😭🥰 As I reflect on this weekend and turning 29 today, my heart is so full 💕 What sweet gifts I’ve been given - the actual gifts of course, which were all so thoughtful and intentional, but even more the gifts God has given me in my people. What a treasure that I do not take lightly … a game night with old friends that are more like family and have walked through so many seasons with me (and still love me, thankfully), a date night with new(er) friends that also feel like family, spending the morning singing and growing alongside my church family while literally sitting next to my sweet parents, who had a sleepover with Anna Stephens so Luke and I could sleep in this morning. The joy in an afternoon nap on a rainy day, a good cup of coffee, and ending the day now with Anna Stephens patting my face while she falls asleep. The gift of 6 years of marriage to my Luke today … can’t believe at this time 6 years ago we were dancing at our reception, such babies but truly committed to one another, not knowing all would come our way - and still will. Ultimately, the Gift of God himself - He is the Giver and sustainer of all and more every year, I am aware of my absolute need and dependence on Him for everything. But, there is such deep joy to be found in being His child. Let the last year of my 20s begin 😅🥳
