May 2020 & Porch Portraits

May was month three of life impacted by COVID-19. Things have started to open back up a bit, but it still feels very far from “normal.” There have been good days and bad days, but this was certainly the month where I started to feel “over it” for lack of better words. We are all grieving something in this time – whether big or small – it’s hard. I miss church, I miss large gatherings, I miss going out to eat and hearing other people laugh and chat around me, I miss my coworkers, I miss so many things. But ultimately, so thankful for our health and focusing on all the things we have to be grateful for helps me stay positive.

Some highlights of May were getting back our sweet porch portraits from Meghan, celebrating Ross’ birthday with friends, going to PWs with our small group, Grey’s 13th birthday, Mother’s Day, two visits from Clay (one with Riley!), meeting sweet baby Charlotte Platt, game night with Lindsey and Travis, walks with Amanda, Jaimie, and Lindsey, and some more small house projects. We also are seeing growth with our hydrangeas and privet!
