This past Sunday, I hosted a baby shower for David and Ellen along with Linda Crute, Shelley Hamilton, Kathy Troutman, and Allison Platt. David is Luke’s oldest friend, so this was a special day! Luke’s mom, Shelley and David’s mom, Nancy have been close friends for over 30 years and so David and Luke pretty much grew up together and I’ve known David for years, as we went to school together for a while and Luke and David and I were all close friends in high school through youth group. David and Ellen got married just 3 months before Luke and I and Ellen has become a dear friend to me – I am so thankful we get to walk through these seasons of life together. God has been so kind to us and it was SO MUCH FUN to celebrate Baby Platt (gender is a surprise!) and to recount God’s faithfulness to them. Luke and I CANNOT WAIT to meet this precious little baby in just a few weeks!

Since we don’t know if this little one is a boy or a girl, we went with soft neutral tones and a wintery/woodland theme. Lots of pinecones, magnolia and frosted trees! Linda also made the most adorable deer shaped gingerbread cookies to go on top of the cupcakes!
