The Farmhouse – Master Bedroom

Our Master Bedroom at the Farmhouse was truly our haven! It was such a peaceful space. I filled it with meaningful and cozy decor and it was in this room that I learned that I loved to decorate and make cozy and welcoming spaces. There’s nothing like a Saturday spent changing out a little seasonal decor and making up the bed with fresh sheets. It’s the little things!

My style has already evolved so much since decorating this room and I anticipate our next bedroom will be a little different – probably with newer furniture and a paint color we actually choose…but many elements will remain the same (candles, greenery, our favorite pictures framed, lots of pillows hehe).

When we first got married, all we had in the bedroom was the headboard and the two nightstands, which were all thrifted for a total of $130. Next we added our curtains from Target, our bedside lamps from Pier one and our framed vows above each nightstand. Then came our little table below the reclaimed window, that I scored for $20 at an Estate Sale and then painted with chalk paint. Finally we added our chest of drawers from a local shop, put a mirror on top from Kirklands and started to add all sorts of fun decor in the form of candles, greenery, trays, baskets, blankets and of course pictures 🙂

This room holds some of the sweetest memories of our early marriage and I hope to never forget it. It taught me how to work with what you have – which in our case, was a tiny budget and a whole lot of love!
